HSIE
Our topic for Term 4 is 'Wet & Dry Environments'

Speech on project - Due this Friday
HSIE project and speech - Speech is due Friday Week 6.  The speech should be 2 minutes long and cover: where it is located, it's size, what sort of environment it is, animals found there, weather conditions, interesting facts and visual supports e.g. maps or pictures of the environment.

This unit provides opportunities for students to explore life in a wet and dry environment. It allows students to focus on people’s interactions with, and responsibilities towards these environments.

By the end of this unit students will be able to:
  • Explain the differences between the natural and built features of an environment.
  • Identifies and labels how the elements of an environment rely on each other and how people can change the environment.
  • Show responsibility towards the environment and understand the need to conserve its natural resources.
